Do You Have a Traffic or Offer Problem in Your Design Business?
Share
I've been speaking to so many Interior Designers in the last couple of months and going in-depth with where the leaks are in their design business when it comes to income, and after talking to over two hundred and fifty designers in 2024, I've concluded that if your design business is not doing as well as you would like it to, then you have one or two of the following problems or both.
So it’s time for you to complete a quick self-audit:
👉 You have a traffic problem (not enough eyes coming to your website or profiles)?
👉 Or an offer problem (lots of eyes, but no consultations booked, projects secured, or virtual offers ignored?
👉 You have a traffic problem (not enough eyes coming to your website or profiles)?
👉 Or an offer problem (lots of eyes, but no consultations booked, projects secured, or virtual offers ignored?
Let’s break it down so you can pinpoint the issue and fix it fast.
🚦 Signs You Have a Traffic Problem:
- Your website or landing page gets less than 500 visitors per month.
- You’re getting very few clicks when someone lands on your website
- Your consultation and service inquiries are less than (5) per month or even worse, no inquiries at all.
🔥 Signs You Have an Offer Problem:
- You’re getting website traffic, but low conversions aka no consultations or virtual offer buyers
- People visit your pages but don’t take action (no downloads or purchases).
- You have leads or consultations, but they don’t move through your funnel if you even have a funnel.
So what’s your next move?
- If you have a traffic problem: you need more eyeballs on your offer, so it means doubling down on your marketing plan to make that happen.
- If you have an offer problem: it’s time to revisit and refine your services and packages. Are you offering just a "Virtual Interior Design Service" that every other designer is offering or are you offering a "Magazine Styled Home Virtual Design Service" that makes a potential client widen their eyes and say hey now that I am interested? In this sea of design chaos, you have got to niche down and get creative.
